Summary of the trip: the 12 day trip brings you to the big primate safari of Uganda, where the savannah meets the tropical rainforest.  Expect to see some of the unique and interesting animals of the savannahs like lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and leopard among other and up to 13 primate species, including gorillas and chimpanzees.

The above safari gives you chance to visit the most important and well known national parks of Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 1: Entebbe – Airport transfer

Welcome to Uganda, you will be picked by our guide from Entebbe International Airport to your accommodation. . 

Distance: 10km (15 minutes’ drive)

Day 2: Entebbe - Murchison Falls National Park

After your breakfast, we leave for Murchison Falls National Park, with optional visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking   and proceed to Murchison Falls via the Top of the falls. 

Distance:  380 km (about 7 hours)

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

Today, experience the morning game drive in these savannah national park  and expect some of the animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, among other if lucky lions, spotted hyenas and leopards. In the afternoon, take a 3 hours boat cruise on Victoria Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls. Expect to encounter some of the animal like hippos, crocodiles, variety of water birds species.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park- Kibale National Park

After breakfast have a long drive  to Fort Portal via Western Rift valley escapement through Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and arrive at the foot of the mountain of the Moon, enjoy the atmosphere of  Fort Portal town.

Day 5: Kibale National Park

Today after your very early, depart for Chimpanzee Habituation Experience, this is a lifetime experience that allows accompany Kibale’s researchers and habituation at chimpanzee during their daily activities, thereby getting used to human presence without changing their natural. During your tour, expect coming across the chimps de-nesting (in their nocturnal nests)

Day 6: Kibale Forest- Queen Elizabeth National Park (Mweya sector)

Today, we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with mysterious view of the mountain of the moon. On our way, we pass on the equator famous for photo.  Optional visit to Katwe the salt or evening game drive.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Mweya sector)

Early morning game drives experience in  the national park, with aim of seeing animal like  elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, and if lucky  lion and leopard . In the afternoon, take the most exciting 2 hours boat cruise on Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife and bird.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home of the mountain Gorilla. Accommodation for your overnight will depends on the permit location in Bwindi (FB)
Distance:  180 km to Buhoma sector (about 5hours)/ 260 km (about 7hours)

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, the activity starts at 8am and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum eight people as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas, which was allocated according to the permits. Bwindi forest in Uganda has a population of about 370 gorillas, which is half the world population according to 2007 gorilla population surveys. It is not predictable the time you will spend to encounter the gorillas.

Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Lake Bunyonyi

After your relax breakfast, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the dippiest lake in Uganda and place for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Distance:  110 km (about 3hours)

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi- Lake Mburo

Today, we drive to Lake Mburo national park with lunch stop on the way and arrive for a 1 hour boat in the afternoon.
Distance:  210 km (about 3hours)

High range accommodation: Mihingo lodge / Mantana Tented camp / (FB)

Day 12: Lake Mburo –Kampala or Entebbe

early morning game walk to get face to face with animal or horseback in the morning, after your lunch and return to Kampala or Entebbe with stopover at Equator for photo and experiment. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight. 

Distance:  350 km (about 5hours)
