Summary of the trip. the 12 day trip brings you to the big primate safari of Uganda, where the savannah meets the tropical rainforest. Expect to see some of the unique and interesting animals of the savannahs like lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and leopard among other and up to 13 primate species, including gorillas and chimpanzees.
The above safari gives you chance to visit the most important and well known national parks of Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park.
Highlight of the Uganda big primate safaris
Day 1: Arrival and night in Entebbe.
Day 2: Route for Murchison, visit Ziwa Rhino – Top of Falls.
Day 3: Safari in the morning, afternoon water falls boat
Day 4: Transfer to kibale forest park
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth via crater lakes.
Day 7: Safari in the morning and afternoon Kazinga Channel boat

Itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe – Airport transfer
Welcome to Uganda, you will be picked by our guide from Entebbe International Airport to your accommodation. .
Distance: 10km (15 minutes’ drive)

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino - Top of Murchison Falls
After your breakfast, we leave for Murchison Falls National Park, with optional visit to Ziwa
Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking and proceed to Murchison Falls via the Top of the falls.
Distance: 350 km (about 6 hours)

Day 3: Game drive and Boat to the Bottom of Falls
Today, experience the morning game drive in these savannah national park and expect some of the animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, among other if lucky lions, spotted hyenas and leopards. In the afternoon, take a 3 hours boat cruise on Victoria Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls.
Expect to encounter some of the animal like hippos, crocodiles, variety of water birds species.
Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park- Kibale National Park
After breakfast have a long drive to Fort Portal via Western Rift valley escapement through Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and arrive at the foot of the mountain of the Moon, enjoy the atmosphere of Fort Portal town.

Day 5: Chimps tracking and Bigodi Swamp walk
Today after your breakfast, depart for second Chimpanzee tracking experience within Kibale forest national park and in the afternoon, have cultural guided walk within Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary that allows you to experience this unique jungle like eco-system as you venture through it with your guide. The Wetlands Sanctuary is a home to 8 different primates that includes the gray cheeked Mangabey’s, red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus, and baboons among others. Day 6: Equator - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with mysterious view of the mountain of the moon. On our way, we pass on the equator famous for photo. Optional visit to Katwe the salt lake or evening game drive.

Day 7: Game drive and Kazinga channel boat
Early morning game drives experience in the national park, with aim of seeing animal like elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, and if lucky lion and leopard .
In the afternoon, take the most exciting 2 hours boat cruise on Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife and bird.
Day 8: Route to Bwindi Gorilla Park
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home of the mountain Gorilla.
Accommodation for your overnight will depends on the permit location in Bwindi
Distance: 180 km to Buhoma sector (about 5hours)/ 260 km (about 7hours)

Day 9: Gorilla tracking day
Today, the activity starts at 8am and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum eight people as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas, which was allocated according to the permits. Bwindi forest in Uganda has a population of over 500 gorillas, which is half the world population according to the resent census of gorilla population surveys.
Note: It is not predictable the time you will spend to encounter the gorillas.
Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Lake Bunyonyi
After your relax breakfast, proceed to lake Bunyonyi, one of the dippiest lake in Uganda. Take boat on the lake; you can also make optional activity: nature walk or go for a birding walk, go for canoeing, take a swim or visit the local community.

Day 11: Lake Mburo – Game drive
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest of Ugandan National Parks. As you enter, go for game drive in search for animal like impalas, zebras, elands and many other antelopes.

Day 12: Guided nature walk – Entebbe
Early morning game walk to get face to face with animal, afterward, return to Entebbe with stopover at Equator for photo and experiment. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight.
